Debrecen is the second largest city in Hungary and it has even played the role of capital city in historical periods. Today, it is the capital of the Northern Great Plain region of the country and 24 matches will be played in the Főnix Aréna during the group phase and the main round.
Basel is located in the north of Switzerland, right on the border to France and Germany. Because of it’s vibrant cultural scene and about 40 outstanding museums the city is considered the cultural capital of Switzer-land. A total of 12 matches will be played in two groups in the group phase at the St.Jakobshalle arena in Basel.
The capital of Tyrol offers an exceptional setting where city, culture, nature and sports come together to delight anyone who wants to explore, enjoy and be inspired. Olympiahalle will host two groups and 12 matches in the group phase.
Vienna is the federal capital of Austria, and it has always been an interface between different cultures, and marks the spot where the Amber Road and the Danube intersect. With a maximum
capacity of 10.000, Wiener Stadthalle will host the Main Group I, and the Final Weekend.

The Women’s Handball European Championship in 2024 will be like no other. 24 teams will play for the first time in history. And the three organising countries – although geographically relatively closely, they are quite unique in every way. And the teams, too. But two things hold us together, a unique spirit and the power of a team. Either way we choose, we have to come together as one to win the game.
