The Főnix Arena is well connected to the public transport network. The following options are available:

The national supplier of the European Championship, the MÁV-csoport provides Hungary24 tickets for 2024 HUF at a discounted price during the event, which is valid for both trains and buses.
With the daily ticket, you can travel unlimitedly on the MÁV-START, GYSEV networks, designated routes of VOLÁNBUSZ, and MÁV-HÉV within the validity period, on the condition that, in addition to proof of identity, you also present a valid day ticket, preliminary round ticket or main round ticket for the matches.

The railway company also contributes to the successful running of the sporting event by adding extra trains, thanks to which an extra train leaves from the Debrecen railway station to Budapest at 11 pm on every Hungarian-related match day.

Public Transport:

  • Debrecen has an efficient, diverse, and low-cost network of public transport, including 51 bus lines, 2 tram lines, and 5 trolleybus lines. You can reach your destination fast and conveniently in the city by using any kind of transportation. Public transport in Debrecen is provided by the local public transport company DKV Zrt.
  • Debrecen city center where the main historic sights and the Christmas market are located is easy to reach from Főnix Aréna in 10 minutes by trolleybus 3 and 3A until “Csokonai Színház” stop, or by bus 24 and 24A until “Kölcsey Központ” stop. From both stops, the main street [Piac utca] is within 5 minutes’ walk where the Tourinform tourist information office can be found.

From Debrecen International Airport: Debrecen Airport is located about 5 km east of the city center. Besides taxis, the following options are available

  • Bus Airport 1:
    • Direct connection to Debrecen Main Train Station [Nagyállomás] in about 15 minutes.
    • From the Main Train Station, take trolleybus Line 5 and 5A to Főnix Aréna.
Arrival from Debrecen Main Train Station:
  • Trolleybus: Line 5 and 5A to Főnix Aréna stop in about 10 minutes.

Arrival by car:
  • The Főnix Aréna has 150 parking spaces available behind the complex. Parking is free; however, the car park is not guarded.
  • There are several parking options in Debrecen. The city has 5300 surface car parks, 5 underground garages, 3 “business” car parks in the city center and 3 private car parks. The public car parks are divided into zones. Tickets can be purchased from machines in the parking lots.

What spectators should not bring

We would like to inform the spectators that luggage inspection will take place before entering the arena. Items prohibited by the Court Rules, food, drink, as well as smaller bags and packages larger than size A4 cannot be brought into the area of the facility. Flags, banners and molinos may enter the arena, but these items will be inspected by the security staff with special attention, as well as other fan equipment (drums, megaphones, etc.) and may refuse the entry of these items in the event of violating the Court Rules.”

Lost and Found

If you lose something during the event, please contact the concierge at the Főnix Aréna. Lost items will be collected there and can be retrieved by their owners.
